From Bushveld to Browser
It’s been a little while since we’ve shared an update here on our news blog (okay, maybe more than “a little while” – but in our defence, time flies when you’re busy clicking shutters and tweaking pixels!). Over the next few weeks, we’ll be catching you up on some of the exciting projects that have kept us out of trouble lately.
First up: Nare Bush Lodge, tucked away in the beautiful Mjejane Game Reserve.
Back in May 2024, we were lucky enough to be invited to photograph this stunning lodge. The setting was pure magic – golden light spilling through the bush, wildlife keeping a curious eye on us, and architecture that blended perfectly with nature. The photoshoot was a dream, and our client’s reaction made it even better. He loved the images so much that he mentioned wanting us to build his website too… though, at the time, someone else already had that job.
Fast forward a few months, and our phone rang again. Turns out, the website he’d been given just wasn’t hitting the mark – it didn’t capture the beauty or spirit of the lodge. This time, the brief was ours, and we couldn’t wait to dive in.
By early January 2025, the new Nare Bush Lodge website was live – a clean, stylish design that lets the lodge’s story shine. And while we don’t usually measure success in numbers alone, we can’t help but smile that it scored 100% in every single category on Google Chrome’s Lighthouse test.
Most importantly, our client is thrilled. And for us, that’s the best part of the whole journey – taking something special and making sure it looks just as incredible online as it does in real life.
